Codex Death Guard

By BobK

This codex is based off the Death Guard codex in the 4th ed. Codex Chaos Space Marines, with updates to take into account the changes to the codex layout and the new units, so that players of the old Death Guard army, as well as other fans of Plague marines, can play with a proper army of them in 5th ed.

While some players may think it odd that this codex allows raptors, ultimately there is nothing physically preventing some members of the Death Guard from wearing jump packs or mutating wings. Against powerful ranged armies these units could be gamesavers.

Allies: Treat as Chaos Space Marines when determining which allies may be taken.

Special Rule: Favoured by Nurgle: All units taken from codex chaos daemons ignore the daemonic assault rule and need to be summoned in the way described in codex chaos space marines.
